Questions merchants ask before launch

Product and custody
What is Stafiel?
Stafiel is stablecoin checkout infrastructure for online merchants. It supports hosted checkout, embedded checkout, payment APIs, payment status updates, and direct wallet settlement workflows.
Does Stafiel custody merchant funds?
No. Stafiel is designed around merchant-controlled wallets. Merchants are responsible for their wallet setup, private keys, and compliance review.
Assets and networks
Which stablecoins are supported?
Checkout sessions are designed around USDT and USDC. The assets shown to a customer depend on the merchant configuration and enabled networks.
Which networks can customers use?
Network availability depends on merchant configuration. Stafiel presents token and network choices separately so customers can confirm both before paying.
What if a customer sends funds on the wrong chain?
Wrong-chain payments may not be detected or recoverable by the checkout flow. Customers should send the selected token on the exact network shown on the payment page.
Checkout and payment status
How do customers pay?
Customers can scan the QR code or copy the payment address and exact amount into a compatible wallet. The checkout page shows the selected token, network, amount, and payment instructions.
How is payment status confirmed?
Payment status is based on checkout state and blockchain evidence for the configured network. Timing can vary by network activity, wallet behavior, and confirmation policy.
What happens if a customer underpays or overpays?
The order status reflects the received amount against the requested amount. Merchants should review payment status and refund policy before deciding how to handle exceptions.
Settlement and refunds
How do settlements work?
Confirmed payments are routed according to the merchant wallet and settlement configuration. Merchants should verify wallet settings before accepting production traffic.
Can merchants refund a payment?
Yes. Merchants can start a direct refund within a 48-hour after-sales window on supported networks. After the after-sales window closes, confirmed funds continue to settlement.
Are refunds automatic?
Refund handling depends on the payment route, merchant policy, and available on-chain information. Stafiel documentation explains the operational risks and limits around refunds.
Integration and launch
Do you support APIs and webhooks?
Yes. Merchants can create checkout sessions, query payment state, and receive configured status delivery. API field details and webhook verification belong in the documentation.
Can merchants test before mainnet?
Yes. Testnet mode lets teams validate checkout behavior, payment status, and settlement settings before using real funds.
What should teams check before going live?
Review enabled assets and networks, wallet destinations, API keys, webhook handling, refund limits, restricted regions, and the testnet-to-mainnet separation.
What does it cost to get started?
Getting started is free. Paid plans are coming, and asset or network availability can depend on merchant configuration and plan access.
Support and policy
Does Stafiel screen transactions?
Yes. Stafiel applies KYT (Know Your Transaction) screening and AML-oriented monitoring to payment activity, with risk checks running before settlement approval. Screening works on transaction signals and does not store personal identity data.
Where can I find restricted region information?
Use the Restricted Countries and Regions page for the current policy surface. Merchants should also complete their own legal and compliance review.
How do I get help?
Existing merchants should submit a ticket with the merchant email, order ID, network, token, and transaction hash when available. New merchants can contact the team from the Contact page.
