Stafiel is non-custodial stablecoin checkout infrastructure for online merchants.
Compliance controls are designed into how orders, payment addresses, and
settlement work, so screening and risk review happen as part of the payment flow
rather than as an afterthought.

This page summarizes Stafiel's approach. It supplements the
[Terms of Service](/terms-of-service) and the [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy);
where they differ, those documents control.

## Transaction screening (KYT)

Stafiel's compliance model is transaction-focused. KYT (Know Your Transaction)
screening and monitoring evaluate on-chain payment activity — wallets,
transactions, and networks — against risk signals and screening lists.

- Screening applies to payment activity connected to an order, including
counterparty addresses and settlement destinations.

- Orders linked to flagged activity can be placed in a compliance hold and
reviewed before deployment or settlement proceeds.

- Screening lists and controls are updated over time as risk conditions change.

## Sanctions and restricted regions

Stafiel does not support use of the Services in, from, or for the benefit of
restricted territories, persons, or activities. The
[Restricted Countries and Regions](/restricted-countries-and-regions) page lists
restricted countries, territories, and regions and is updated from time to time.

Wallets, addresses, and transactions are screened against Stafiel's screening
lists, and matches are refused, held, or reviewed as described in the
[Terms of Service](/terms-of-service).

## Non-custodial by design

- Each order receives its own unique on-chain payment address.

- Settlement routing is fixed in the on-chain contract or program when the
order's payment address is set up. Funds split between the merchant's verified
settlement wallet and the platform according to those fixed rules.

- Stafiel never holds merchant private keys and never takes custody of merchant
funds.

## Data minimization

Stafiel collects the minimum information needed to run checkout and settlement.

- We do not store personal identity documents.

- Merchant onboarding is business-focused: account credentials, merchant
configuration, and verified settlement wallet addresses.

- Payment records keep order and on-chain context — amounts, addresses,
transaction hashes, and status history — for integrity, audit, and support.

- Details are described in the [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy).
